All-Female Directors For Lord Of The Rings : The Rings Of Power Season 2
The eight episodes long season two of The Rings Of Power will be directed by three female directors, namely Charlotte Brandstrom, Louise Hooper and Sanaa Hamri. Swedish-French director Charlotte Brandstrom is not new to the franchise, she directed two episodes of season one and will be directing four episodes of this season. She will be succeeding Wayne Che Yip, the British director who directed four episodes of season one and also served as the executive director for the show.
Meanwhile, Hamri and Hooper will reportedly be directing two episodes each of the new seasons. The production of the season is in the hands of Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne. With three out of twenty Rings Of Power being created, namely Vilya, Narya and Nenya, they will be featured in the new season. Since we know that the Elves successfully hid these till the Third Age, they will be out of reach for villains. The season will also be the build-up for the forging of the Rings Of Power.
Season 2 is under production in the UK and eight new actors will be joining the cast including William Chubb, Selina Lo, Will Keen, Gavi Singh Chera, Stuart Bowman, Calam Lynch, Oliver Alvin-Wilson and Kevin Eldon. The team of directors will soon be taking over the shooting of the show.
