One Of Aligarh Murder Accused Charged Of Raping Daughter in 2014
One of the two accused persons in the case of a brutal murder of two year old child in Aligarh also has four cases filed against him including allegedly raping his own daughter, Aligarh Police told The Indian Express. The two men, Aslam and Zahid have been arrested by the police on June 5 and the identity of the person accused of raping his own daughter has been withheld to protect the identity of the girl.
The man has been previously charged under various IPC sections, including 376 (rape), 354 (assault with intent to outrage modesty of a woman) and 363 (kidnapping) and these cases are pending, according to the police. The area SHO said that his relative had filed a case against him for allegedly raping his daughter in 2014. He was granted bail a few months later.
It has been reported that on May 30, the two men kidnapped the child, identified as Twinkle Sharma, from outside of her house and then murdered her. They disposed her body near a garbage pile close to her house. Her body was found by a garbage collector in a severely battered state who then informed the police. Her father is a labourer and the mother is a homemaker. The police said that the two accused murdered her because her father owed them a sum of Rs 10,000 and he was unable to pay the money.
The police arrested the two on June 5. While there have been horrifying details of alleged violence committed on the child, the post mortem report hasn’t clarified these details except the fact that she wasn’t raped before the murder.

The Aligarh Police tweeted that the post-mortem report has ruled out rape. The victim was strangled over a financial dispute. Two persons- Zahid and Aslam were arrested and sent to jail.
“The post-mortem report mentions a death by strangulation as the cause. The claims circulating on social media that the victim’s eyes were gouged out and her arm amputated are also false. Also, the claim that acid was poured on her body, is untrue. No such thing has occurred. The post-mortem report has been shared with the family of the victim,” stated Akash Kulhary, SSP Aligarh to Alt News.
“We are proceeding with it as an NSA case, we will try to get it to a fast track court. There is no mention of rape or acid in post-mortem report,” Kulhary told IANS.
