17 Ways To Stay Positive In 2017 By Shilpa Pandey

So we are almost at the end of 2016, and I am sure all of us would be ready with our New Year Resolutions. I would request all to add one of the most Important aspects of life to Live with a Killer Positive Attitude in 2017 with 17 Ways to Stay Positive:

“You don’t know the power of a positive attitude…Until you have seen it change a bad situation to a good one through a simple kind act…Or even a smile.”

1. Affirmations, Self Talks, Positive Self image:

What we think in our minds will eventually become what we believe. This is why it is so important that we start saying positive things about ourselves many times each and every day.

Positive and encouraging self-talk will contribute to feelings of inner strength and self-respect, which will have a very beneficial effect on the way you view yourself and your personal potential. You can compliment your physical features, personality traits, abilities or accomplishments.

2. Love Yourself Unconditionally:

It is important that we love ourselves, not for the things we’ve done or plan to do, but for who we are. Love your uniqueness, your personality, your character traits and everything else that makes you who you are. The more you allow yourself to feel your own love and approval, the better you will feel about your life and stay Positive.

3.   Focus on Your Own Story:

Don’t be so satisfied with the success stories of others and how things have gone for them that you forget to write your own. Unfold your own tale and bring it to life. You have everything you need to become what you are capable of becoming. Incredible change happens when you decide to take control. This means consuming less and creating more. Keep your best wishes and your biggest goals close to your heart and dedicate time to them every day.

4.  Keep Learning, Growing and Evolving:

When you stop learning you stop living a meaningful life. Life’s richness does not come from always residing within familiar and comfortable territory.  It’s when you venture out, away from the familiar, that you grow stronger and more capable. Find ways to provide a healthy challenge to your current understanding of life, and you will discover and experience far more of life’s magic.

5.  Let go of Relationships that hurt you:

Sometimes you have to walk away from people, not because you don’t care, but because they don’t. When someone hurts you time and time again, accept the fact that they don’t care about you. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but it’s necessary medicine. Waste not another second of your time trying to prove something to them.  Nothing needs to be proven.  Do not act with any thought of them for the foreseeable future. Create space for yourself and dedicate your time and energy to rediscovering YOUR health and happiness.

Life is to be enjoyed, not endured. Follow a path that moves you. You are always free to do something that makes you smile.

6. Stop Worrying:

You CAN always choose an attitude that moves you forward. And doing so will help you change things from the inside out, and ultimately allow you to grow beyond the struggles you can’t control.

Here’s one powerful question that will support you with a positive attitude adjustment when you need it most:

Who would you be, and what else would you see, if you erased the thought that’s worrying you?

7.  Accept and Find Optimistic Solutions:

Accepting that changes are a part of life can help us to relax and be more accepting. Try to look for the positive aspects. For example, if you’re in a bad job situation, what do you do? Accept it and try to make it better? Possibly.

8.  Surround with Positive Influences:

You are not a product of your circumstances.  You are a product of your decisions.  It’s about deciding to NOT let your frustration or fear decide your future. My life is filled with examples of positive existence. I learn and grow in principle each day because I surround myself with ethically sound individuals.

9.  Do something nice for someone else:

This is a great way to take your focus off of yourself. You become more aware that others are struggling, too. When you are kind, you receive kindness in return. You’ll also feel a sense of pride and satisfaction when you help someone else.

10.  Meditation, Healthy Diet and a Good Exercise Regime:

When I look within, I consider the impact that my actions have on my circle of influence. My focus is on being a positive influence for those people.

As I meditate, I realign myself with that focus and commit to living positively for the day.

Taking a healthy approach to what I consume ensures that my mind and body perform well each day.Eating well encourages me to practice other healthy habits. My body benefits from a combination of a good diet, adequate rest, and exercise.

11.  Be true to yourself:

Few things are more disconcerting than living a life you weren’t meant to live. It continuously gnaws away at you. Live a life that’s congruent with your values.

Make your own decisions about what’s most important to you.

12.   Learn to take criticism in a Positive Way:

Try to remain open and level- headed and figure out how this message can help you. Ask yourself: Is there one thing I can learn from this criticism? Is there something here that I may not want to hear but could help me?

13. Mindfully move through the Day:

When you spend your time in the present moment then it becomes so much easier to access positive emotions and to stay practical about what you can actually do about something in your life.

14   Express what you are Grateful For:

Even in the worst of times, most of us realize that we still have things in our lives for which we are grateful. Voice those blessings! Practice gratitude.

15. Don’t Let Ideals Ruin Things:

A common mistake people make when making a shift in their attitudes is that they think that they have be perfect and do things perfectly all the time. This traps them from being positive. Changing to a positive attitude can be gradual. While you may slip and stumble, continuing this way over time will strengthen your positive viewpoint more and more.

16.   Give no excuses, no blames:

It’s human nature to make excuses and to apply blame when things are not going well. Make an intention to take full responsibility for what you do every day and have faith in your actions.

17.  Never Give Up:

Life has a way of evening itself out when I go on. By taking action rather than give up, something good will always happens. Seeing this thought live itself out has strengthened my belief in staying optimistic, in taking action and to keep going even when going through rough patches.
