World Breastfeeding Week: Mira Rajput Kapoor On Breastfeeding and Fitness

Mira Kapoor on breastfeeding: On the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week, Mira Rajput Kapoor, wife of actor Shahid Kapoor and a mother of two shared an Instagram story talking about breast milk.

Rajput Kapoor also posted about losing pregnancy weight. Recently, the celebrity wife, who is a fitness enthusiast shared an appreciation post for her trainer for always having her back.

Taking to Instagram stories, Mira Rajput Kapoor shared the facts regarding losing weight and breast milk after childbirth. World Breastfeeding Week began on Sunday, August 1 and will continue till August 7. At the beginning of the week, Rajput Kapoor shared an Instagram story with the guidelines as to how new mothers can go easy on themselves post-delivery. It advised new mothers who are keen on losing weight should focus on gaining strength, eating food rich in nutrients and postpartum healing.

The guidelines also highlighted that women should “wait until after month 2” or once the milk supply has established itself before they try to lose weight consciously. The reason cited was that calorie restrictions can affect the supply of milk. Further, the post mentioned that breastfeeding burns 200-500 calories. Rajput Kapoor captioned the post as “#worldbreastfeedingweek”.

In a more recent Instagram story, Rajput Kapoor shared a post-workout selfie and thanked her trainer Sohrab Khushrushahi. She wrote, “@sohfitofficial For always having my back. And shoulders, tris, core, legs.” Through her post, she hinted that her workout session needed her to focus on shoulders, triceps, core and legs.

The yoga lover had earlier also shared an “Expectation v/s Reality” video while acing the “plough pose”. Though she seems to be comfortable while practising the pose, we get a glimpse of the hard work and effort she put in to perfect it. Rajput Kapoor captioned the video as, “YOGA 101: Expectations vs Reality! Who’s with me?”
