Mahhi Vij Wishes Foster Son Rajveer: Television actors Mahhi Vij and her husband Jay Bhanushali had taken their caretaker's kids, Khushi and Rajveer, in foster care and decided to raise them as their own since 2017. On Rajveer's fifth birthday, Vij took to social media to pen a heartwarming note for him.

"Happy birthday son. This is your first birthday without me…," the actor wrote sharing a picture of Rajveer in a vibrant traditional wear. This is the first time that Vij is away from Rajveer on his birthday. She shared, "I still remember your birthday celebration was must mumma I want hulk theme, mumma I want Spider-Man cake, mumma I want u yo gift me captain America… I miss you today.. Love you beta meri jaan Happy birthday bageera (sic)."

In March this year, Vij took to social media and clarified that husband Bhanushali and she did not legally adopt their foster kids but "they are family" and have been living with them since their birth.

She also slammed trolls for criticising her for abandoning the foster kids. She had penned an open letter clarifying why Khushi and Rajveer are living in their hometown with their grandparents. In a lengthy text post on Instagram, Vij wrote, "A lot of you have been questioning, a lot of you have been assuming, a lot of you have been writing anything and everything and its just FAIR. Yes we are parents, FOSTER parents!"

The couple has a biological daughter, named Tara, who was born in August 2019. She went on to say that Tara's presence could never change their feelings for Khushi and Rajveer. "When Khushi came into our lives, we became parents but a part of us knows that the decision and the first rights belong to her father and mother," she reacted to the criticism levelled against her and her husband for allegedly not loving them the same way they love Tara.

Talking about Khushi and Rajveer's absence, she added that the children have returned to their hometown as their grandfather believed it is safer for them to be at their hometown.
