Long-distance relationships can be tormenting at times and, for many, it gets tougher when they don't get to celebrate special days like Valentine's Day with their partners. But do not let the miles between you hinder your excitement. All you need is to get a little creative to make this day significant. While many might already have virtual date nights planned, we bring to you a few unique ideas to add to your V-day celebration list.

Trying to keep everyone's needs in mind, here are fun, spicy, creative, and meaningful ways you can celebrate your V-day with your special someone living miles away.

Make a Playlist

Making a playlist is a safe bet when you cannot match your timings or mail gifts. Songs are always at the rescue to express the feelings that you cannot express yourself and there's no such thing as too many playlists. Music lovers know that there is always a playlist needed for every occasion. This can make your partner tear up especially if they are music lovers.

Love Notes

In the digital age of the internet and AI, handwritten notes can never fail even if the other person is not very fond of words (speaking from personal experience). I am not asking you to write a letter of 18 pages front and back like Rachel Green - that might be consuming for many - but even if you cannot express yourself, you can always decorate a piece of paper and write your favourite poem or a song lyrics or a dialogue that reminds you of them. And if not love letters, you can always fill a jar with love notes of what you like about them or the goals you seek mutually with them.

Handmade Gifts

This might not sound like a very unique idea to you at first, but making handmade gifts is always touching for its thoughtfulness. This Valentine's week, you can make a handmade hamper for your special someone by making a rose bouquet for Rose Day, making unique raisin matching pendants for Propose Day, you can make a DIY small teddy for Teddy Day, you can make a mini painting with pinky fingers promising each other and writing a promise you want to make on Promise Day, you can give a cushion for Hug Day and a Lip stamped tissue for the Kiss Day. As easy as it sounds, this hamper is also budget-friendly for your pockets.

Make A Craft Together

A few of the above-mentioned ideas could sound cliché to you, but I bet this one might not be. Again, speaking from a personal experience being busy with tight schedules and having many hobbies, I struggled to take out time for my hobby of drawing thinking I was not that great at it, but my partner encouraged me to create some art together on a video call, collecting the supplies from the scratch. It was the first time we two sat in silence for a long time creating minimalistic paintings with soothing music in the background, and that's when I realised how soothing and healing it can be to do arts and crafts together.

Virtual Sex Toys Date

Spice up your distanced relationship by stepping out of your regular sexting and phone sex rituals. Just like your Fitbits running through the app, now many sex toy companies let you download apps on your phones and have fun with sex toys that you can either use simultaneously or the best part, let your partner control the pressures through their phones. But remember, bringing sex toys into a relationship must not be imposed as it should happen only with mutual consent.
