Pratiksha Tondwalkar married at the age of 17, and became a widow when she was just 20. She subsequently began working as a sweeper at a State Bank of India (SBI) office in Mumbai to pay for living expenses and her education. Who Is Pratiksha Tondwalker?
- Tondwalkar wed Sadashiv Kadu when she was just 17 years old before she had finished her class 10 exams. Kadu was employed by SBI as a bookbinder and resided in Mumbai. Kadu was killed in a collision. At age 20, Tondwalkar experienced widowhood that left her broken.
- Pratiksha Tondwalkar began her career as a sweeper at a State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Mumbai and finally advanced to the position of Assistant General Manager at one of the biggest banks in the world. Her narrative exemplifies the underdog dream, the value of a loving family, and unwavering perseverance.
- Her inability to obtain a quality education made it difficult for her to find employment. She was unfazed, though, and went on to finish her studies and earn her degree.
- She never would have thought that 37 years later, as Assistant General Manager (AGM), she would work for the same bank where she started as a sweeper.
- After proving her dedication and perseverance, the Pune native was promoted from sweeper to clerk. She was born in Pune in 1964, and she later advanced to scale 4, then to CGM, and most recently to AGM.
- Due to Pratiksha's determination, dedication, and true diligence, the State Bank of India also recognised her for her amazing achievements.
- In 2021, Pratiksha completed a naturopathy programme. She joined Mumbai's Vikhroli night college. She received help from her coworkers while studying, and in 1995, she graduated with a degree in psychology.
