On December 29, Zee5 and ALTBalaji dropped in Paurashpur a film which stars Milind Soman, Shilpa Shinde, Annu Kapoor, and Poulomi Das, and revolves around a lavish mise en scène and fictional setup.

The women of Paurashpur are being talked about for the revolution and rage they are going to set up with their characters. For Poulomi Das, who is playing the role of dasi Kala, it is a big break. There is a lot to know about the Howrah girl who has carved out her space beautifully in the television and modelling industry.
Das is a native of Dasnagar in Howrah. She and her parents, brother, sister-in-law, and a niece along with five dogs back home.
Poulomi Das was initially a model in Calcutta and as a model, she has worked for a range of brands.
In order to pursue her career in modelling, Poulomi came to Mumbai but ultimately landed into acting by chance.
Poulomi 's first show was Suhani Si Ek Ladki on Star Plus in 2016, where she played the role of Baby.
So far, the Howrah girl Poulomi has been a part of five serials.
Her first web series was Baarish. The series, released in 2019, stars Asha Negi and Sharman Joshi in lead roles.
Currently, she is working on another project for ALTBalaji and Zee5 i.e. Bekabu.
In Mumbai, she lives alone but she does have Khilji for her company. Khilji is her two-and-half-year-old Labrador.
In her recently released project, i.e. Paurashpur, she is playing the role of dasi Kala.
As Paurashpur is a period drama, her look was chiselled out accordingly. National Award-winning costume designer, Leena Daru, who passed away during the lockdown, fashioned Das's look for the series.
