Stateswoman Sheila Kaul was among India's most prolific female politicians with five stints in the Parliament. An activist in pre-Independence India, she was part of the freedom struggle and later received accolades as a cabinet minister and later a governor during her career phases. Kaul, who died at age of 100 on Sunday was a chest of some of India's most cherished political memories as well as witness to its most challenging times.
