5 Things You Should Never Apply On Face-

1. Hot Water-

As per Dr. Jaishree Sharad, hot water evaporates and extracts the moisture from the facial skin and makes the skin dehydrated.

2. Toothpaste-

Not even on your pimples. Toothpaste contains Triclosan and also has chemicals and alcohol which will irritate the skin and can lead to blemishes and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, irritation and burns.

Hyperpigmentation is the condition where patches of skin become darker in color than the normal surrounding skin.

4. Lemon Juice-

A lot of people apply lemon juice thinking it will lighten the blemishes. However, it is actually citric acid, and an AHA(alpha hydroxy acid- water-soluble acids made from sugary fruits). It is concentrated and irritates the skin especially if the skin is dry and flaky. This can lead to more post inflammatory hyperpigmentation or darkening of the skin.

5. Apple Cider Vinegar-

It can irritate the skin because it is caustic, an irritant and acid. This can cause burns and scar, blemishes, darkening and hyper pigmentation on the skin.
