Initially announced during the pandemic, Ishq Vishk Rebound generated significant excitement among audiences. However, the current uncertainty in the movie industry has made it difficult for the film to find takers. Despite being fully prepared, the project is experiencing delays as major distributors show reluctance towards a theatrical release.
Ishq Vishk Rebound Struggles to Find Distributors: Report
According to India Today’s report, "When the makers announced ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ during the pandemic, the excitement around it was huge. However, with the current state of the movie business with absolutely no certainty, the film is struggling to find takers. Despite being fully ready, the film is facing major delays as no major distributor is showing interest in the film for a theatrical release."
However, in the same report, producer Ramesh Taurani addressed the delay, stating, "No, not at all. We have already announced the release date on 28th June, but our two song shoots were pending, which caused the delay."
The remake, Ishq Vishk Rebound, will be released two decades later. Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan, and Naila Grewal will appear in the sequel. The plot has been updated to reflect the current timeframe, and it now gives a fresh and sympathetic look at relationships in the Gen-Z generation.
