Fans have been waiting for the premiere of Jalsa since the film's announcement. The thriller criminal drama stars Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah, two of the best female Bollywood actors. If you're looking for Jalsa release schedule, here's what we know.

Jalsa is an upcoming crime thriller directed by Suresh Triveni and produced by T-Series and Abuntantia Entertainment. Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah have been cast in the film, which also has Rohini Hattangadi, Manav Kaul, Mohammed Iqbal Khan, Surya Kasibhatla, and Shafeen Patel in supporting parts.

Jalsa is about the lives of two women, Maya, played by Vidya Balan, is a journalist who is frequently seen speaking her mind boldly and honestly. Shefali Shah plays Rukhsana, her housekeeper. Rukhsana's daughter is killed in a car accident one night, setting off a series of events involving politics, power, and money as she seeks justice. Maya fights for Rukhsana and her daughter throughout her quest for justice, revealing the truth about that night.

In an interview, the film has been described as a "story about human beings, not just about two women." Balan also said at the ">trailer launch that she couldn't wait for everyone to see it because it is a gripping drama with suspense elements. She also stated that there was never any attempt to send a message. It would be a bonus for her and the filmmakers if the audience could relate to something after watching the movie.

Jalsa Release Schedule:

The official synopsis of the film reads, “A hit and run of an 18-year-old girl becomes the hub of a wheel that sets into motion many a spoke – a journalist, a raging mother, a cop and a system all caught in an ethical dilemma. Questions raised only to realize that the truth is rarely pure and never simple.”

For unclear reasons, the filmmakers have chosen to release Jalsa on OTT instead of in theatres. Hence, the thriller film Jalsa will be available only on Amazon Prime Video on March 18, 2022.
