Sherni Teaser: No matter how dense the forest is, a tigress always knows her way. This is the line with which the teaser of Vidya Balan starrer Sherni opens. The trailer for the film, which will have an OTT release on Prime Video, will be unveiled on June 2.

Directed by Amit Masurkar, Sherni also stars Vijay Raaz, Neeraj Kabi, Ila Arun and Sharat Saxena in key roles. The story and screenplay for the film has been written by Astha Tiku, while Bandish Projekt has given music for the film.
Sharing the teaser on Twitter, Balan wrote, "A tigress always knows the way! Ready to hear the #Sherni roar? Here’s the Official Teaser. Trailer out, June 2. Meet #SherniOnPrime, June 2021." She also shared the video from her Instagram handle.
The first look of the film, featuring Vidya Balan as a forest officer, was released on May 17. The makers of Sherni are yet to reveal its release date.
In 2020, the film was in news after reports emerged that its shooting was interrupted as Balan had declined a Madhya Pradesh minister’s dinner invitation. MP Forest Minister Vijay Shah, the minister in question, had however alleged that the shoot for the film hadn’t been cancelled.
“I was there (Balaghat) on request from those who took permission for the shoot and requested me for lunch or dinner. I said not possible now, I will meet them when I go to Maharashtra. Lunch or dinner was cancelled, the shoot was not,” Shah told media. Read more about the controversy here.
