Bollywood actors Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif received death threats from an unidentified man through social media, the Mumbai police said. A case has been registered at Mumbai’s Santacruz police station and an investigation is underway. According to the police, the actors were receiving threats on Instagram and the accused was also stalking Katrina Kaif and threatening her.

Based on the complaint, the Santacruz police here have registered an FIR against the unidentified person under Indian Penal Code Sections 506-II (criminal intimidation) and 354-D (stalking), the official said, adding that no arrest has been made so far. The police have also registered a case under the IT Act.

The couple was recently in the Maldives for her 39th birthday and had been sharing a bunch of pictures from the holiday. They married in December 2021.

The couple married each other at Six Senses For Barwara, Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. As per reports, 120 guests attended the wedding. They were all required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and also had to produce a negative RT-PCR test report. The list of guests was not revealed by the couple and instead of wedding invites, they were reportedly given secret codes to enter the wedding venue.

Recently in an interview, Kaushal called his wife ‘wise and intelligent’ and further added that he learns a lot from her. “Katrina is a great influence in every aspect of my life. I’m very fortunate to have found a life partner in her because she’s an extremely wise, intelligent and compassionate person. I learn a lot from her every single day.”

Meanwhile, in June 2022, Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan received a death threat through a letter. It read that the father-son duo would meet the fate of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, who was shot dead in May. After the letter, the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor’s security had been enhanced. He has also reportedly applied for a gun license for his safety.
