Vijay Deverkonda, Samantha Ruth Prabhu To Star In Director Shiva Nirvana's Next

Director Shiva Nirvana has cast actors Vijay Deverkonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles in his upcoming film. On April 21, the yet-untitled film was launched at a formal muhuratam event in Hyderabad. Photos from the ceremony have been doing the rounds of the social media and the fans cannot contain their excitement.

Mythari Movie Makers, the production house backing the film, posted a tweet celebrating the muhurtam and wrote, “VD11 Launched. Our heartthrob Vijay Deverkonda and Queen Samantha Ruth Prabhu will reunite for a family entertainer under the direction of Shiva Nirvana and music by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Shoot begins this month!”

The fans are stoked that Samantha and Vijay will be collaborating on a feature film. The two actors earlier worked together in the film Mahanati, however, their roles in the film were minor and had a shorter track.

VD11 Launch

It is suggested that the shooting for the film will begin in a few days. The filmmakers have also planned a lengthy shoot in Kashmir where the two actors will appear in some key scenes the reports stated. While not many details regarding the film have been revealed except a brief summary of the plot. It is supposedly a rom-com set against the backdrop of the Army.

Malayalam music director Hesham Abdul Wahab has been roped in to compose music for the film which was reportedly tentatively named VD11.

Taking to Instagram, Wahab who will be making his debut in the Telugu film industry as a composer, shared photos with Vijay Deverkonda and wrote, “After weeks of containing the excitement, so happy to let you all know that I will be composing music for Shiva Nirvana’s next movie starring Vijay Deverkonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu produced by Mythari Movie Makers after Pushpa Movie. This will be my debut in Telugu! Heartfelt thanks to all of you for the support and prayer.”

The Arjun Reddy actor will be seen in Puri Jagannadh’s directorial Jana Gana Mana in the role of a soldier. His film Liger is also scheduled to release this year. Meanwhile, Samantha has a long line-up of films including her multilingual project Yashoda and Shakuntalam.
