The Flash follows the adventures of a common man Barry Allen who gets the superpower of speed force after being struck by lightning. In his alias, Flash, Allen attempts to save the world from danger. In the 2023 movie, Flash makes use of his speeding ability to go back in past and change some events, including saving his own family. However, his actions in the past changed the future and resulted in the rise of notorious supervillain General Zod. He has no superhero to turn to except a retired Batman in order to save the world from doom. The movie stars Ezra Miller in the role of Barry Allen, a casting that has irked the audience.

The Flash Twitter Reviews

Everything was going fine when Ezra Miller was roped in to play Barry Allen. However, in 2022, Miller suffered some serious allegations of violence, assault and harassment and was arrested twice within a few days. He was charged with physically assaulting a woman, creating ruckus in a bar over a Lady Gaga song, threatening the person who filed a complaint against his behaviour and was even alleged of being a paedophile. His misconduct was regarded a result of his troubled mental health. The audience expected DC to drop Miller from the main cast because of the serious accusations against him but that did not happen.

The audience was irked by the scene in which Ezra Miller was seen putting a baby in a microwave. Some users said that the role was easy for Miller because he was playing himself, hinting towards the accusations of child manipulation against him. Some users found his facial expressions annoying and called his face 'punchable'. The viewers were clearly upset with Miller's casting after all the accusations he faced.

Many viewers said that they watched the movie for its cameos which included George Clooney and Adam West as Batman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Christopher Reeves, George Reeves and Nicholas Cage as Superman and Helen Slater as Supergirl. The audience loved Sasha Calle and Michael Keaton's performances while they found Miller as the second Barry interesting but his role as the first Barry felt boring. The Flash gained a good amount of backlash because of the controversies revolving around Ezra Miller.
