At the meet on Wednesday, Karthi and the makers of Sulthan celebrated the positive response that the film received. To that Rashmika Maandanna took to Twitter after learning of Karthi’s compliment, and wrote, “Don’t be so nice @Karthi Offl sir.. you are going to make me cry now…” She praised the movie and the effort that everyone made to which she added, It’s because of the film.. it’s because of the genuine hard work.. it’s because of all of us.”

According to a report, Karthi also expressed that he felt very pleased when viewers were clapping for him and Gada (a character in the movie) in the climax of Sulthan. Later the actor also mentioned how his brother Suriya encouraged him to put in the effort and believe in hard work.

“Anna (referring to Suriya) keeps telling me that our hardwork for one particular film needn’t always materialize and work out immediately. It’s like a savings bank account which will definitely benefit us later one day,” the actor said.

Last week, Bakkiyaraj Kannan’s film Sulthan premiered to positive reviews. Recently, Rashmika Mandanna celebrated her 25th birthday while shooting for her second project, Goodbye.
