Produced under the Yash Raj Productions' this film marked the debut of Miss World Manushi Chhillar. She plays the role of Princess Sanjogita, the female lead and love interest of Prithviraj Chauhan. In an interview, Manushi spoke more about the character. "I think the fact that people already have a perception and an idea of who she was and what she was like and you have to match up with that perception in your first film. I remember when I started out, people told me you are not going to be compared with a debutant, you are going to get compared with established actresses who have done periodic roles in historical films. I think that was a very big challenge for me," she said.
