'Our Parents Said Yes': Content Creator Saloni Gaur Shares Wedding Pictures

Congratulations are in order for popular content creator and comedian Saloni Gaur who tied the knot with journalist Rajat Sain earlier last week.

Content creator Saloni Gaur on Saturday said she got married and shared pictures on her official social media accounts.

Saloni, who is popularly known for her comic character "Nazma Aapi", married journalist Rajat Sain.



"Our parents said ‘Yes'," Saloni said while sharing her pictures from the wedding.

"Dadi said- ‘karni to tujhe apne mann ki hi hai' (My grandmother said you will anyway do what you want to do)," she added.

While Saloni chose a bright red lehenga, pairing it with minimal wedding jewellery,  Rajat opted for a white sherwani. 

Reacting to the pictures, many celebrities congratulated the couple on the wedding. Content creator and actor Dolly Singh commented, "so beautiful you both. congratulations (red heart emoticons)" Choreographer Terence Lewis commented, "So happy for both of you! Enjoy this journey." Zareen Khan, RJ Karishma and Gauahar Khan also congratulated the newlywed couple.

She is known for her humorous and satirical take on everything trending in the social-political space through her characters. Saloni also starred in web series including Uncommon Sense With Saloni and Campus Diaries.

In an interview with SheThePeople, Saloni opened up on her journey in content creation and building social commentary through her videos. She said, "Politics is everywhere and everything is influenced by it. It finds its way into everything one way or the other. I try to be aware of all that is happening around us and always I had these thoughts that now get channelled into my videos. Especially in videos featuring Nazma Aapi, the character speaks about her kids and husband, but she speaks on current issues."

She also featured in Bhai Behen vs The World, a mini-series on Amazon Mini TV, with her brother Shubham Gaur.
