Priyanka Chopra has spoken out about becoming a mother for the first time. During an interview with social media celebrity Lilly Singh, the actor discussed the type of parents she had and the type of parent she aspires to be.
Chopra described her thought process as a new parent during a chat with Singh, a prominent comedian, actor, talk show host, and YouTuber, about her book, Be a Triangle: How I Went from Being Lost to Getting My Life Into Shape.
Priyanka Chopra On Motherhood:
Chopra discussed her parenting approach with Singh, saying that she is embracing the concept of letting her child choose her own path. Chopra told Singh, "As a new parent right now, I keep thinking about that I will never be imposing my desires, fears, my upbringing on to my child. I have always believed that children come through you not from you."
She went on to say, "There is no such notion as this is my child, and I will shape everything. They come to you in order to find and construct their own life. My parents were non-judgmental in a way because they recognised how much it benefitted me."

Priyanka Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas, had a baby girl via surrogacy in January this year. Chopra and Jonas shared the news of their baby's arrival on Instagram, writing, "We are happy to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogacy. We humbly request privacy during this special time so that we can focus our attention on our family. Thank you a lot." The couple has kept their parenting experience private since announcing the birth of their baby. According to reports, Madhu Chopra, Priyanka Chopra's mother, has yet to meet her grandchild.
Chopra has a number of upcoming projects, including the American science fiction drama television series Citadel, which also stars Richard Madden, and the romantic drama Text For You. She is also going to act alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in Farhan Akhtar's forthcoming film, Jee Le Zaraa.
