Veteran Bollywood actor Prem Chopra and his wife Uma have been hospitalised after testing positive for COVID-19, reports said Monday. The couple is presently at Mumbai's Lilavati hospital and is reportedly likely to be discharged later this week.
Out of the many names associated with the film industry to be diagnosed with the virus amid rising cases in the country, the Chopras are the most recent.
As per Indian Express, the doctor treating the Chopras have been administered the monoclonal antibody cocktail to which they are responding positively. Demands for the cocktail therapy have increased in the wake of impending fears of the third wave of COVID-19 in India, where the Omicron variant is pushing a surge in cases.
