Bhatt wrote a note to accompany the memorable stills from the film, which indicated how it was courageous of Gulshan Kumar to bankroll a film that experts regarded as ‘too risky’. Bhatt shared the bold and brusque plot in the film “where a woman runs away from home to marry someone, then changes her mind & runs away from the mandap to marry someone else. That too, with her father’s blessings..”

The stills were from the set at an outdoor shoot in Ooty in 1990. Bhatt also remembered the art director of the film M S Shinde, who passed away during the film’s ongoing schedule. Bhatt says that the demise of the veteran director was an “irreparable loss”.
The film, directed by Mahesh Bhatt, is about a girl (Pooja Bhatt) who flees to marry her boyfriend who later emerges as a gold digger, instead she falls in love with a simple journalist (Aamir Khan).
Bhatt also spoke about working with Aamir Khan in the film in an earlier interview with the Times Of India. Mukesh Bhatt referred to them as "Tom and Jerry," she added. The actor also stated that they were as different as chalk and cheese, which she believes is one of the reasons for their on-screen chemistry.
