Parineeti Chopra Wishes Original 'The Girl On The Train' Fame Emily Blunt On Her Birthday

Parineeti Chopra has wished the renowned Hollywood actor Emily Actor, who starred in the original The Girl On The Train, on Twitter today. In her heartfelt birthday wish, she also admitted how the actor not only gave her inspiration, but also sleepless nights.

Posting the pictures of the stills from the original movie and its Hindi remake, the 32-year old actor wrote, "Happy bday #EmilyBlunt! You gave me the inspiration (and many sleepless nights) to do something I never had the guts to do before. Thank you for being the voice in my head when I was shooting. I hope I have done even 10% of what you did in #TheGirlOnTheTrain. Big shoes to fill."

The Girl On The Train

Parineeti Chopra's The Girl On The Train is a Hindi adaptation of the eponymous Hollywood movie, which in turn is based on Paula Hawkins' book of the same name. The movie was directed by Tate Taylor and starred Emily Blunt in the lead role.

The remake has been directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari, Avinash Tiwary, Ishita Dutta, Vatsal Seth and many more.

The trailer was released on February 3 and left fans intrigued with Parineeti's grim, injured, lost and bizarre demeanour throughout the trailer. The film is slated for release on February 26. Read the review of the trailer here.

The shooting of the movie began on August 4, 2019, and was later postponed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

About essaying the character, Parineeti said, “I am super excited to be shooting this film because this is a role that I have never experienced before, read before and I think the audience has never experienced this kind of acting piece from me.”
