'1+1=3': Parineeti Chopra, Raghav Chadha's Adorable Pregnancy Announcement

Actor Parineeti Chopra and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha are garnering much love and attention as one of the most popular couples to have announced their pregnancy recently. The couple took to social media to announce the news with a photo of a cake with the icing of two baby feet and the writing, "1+1=3," referring to their expanding family. In the next slide, they shared a video of them holding hands and taking a stroll in a park. The post was captioned, "Our little universe … on its way. Blessed beyond measure."

Earlier this month, Raghav dropped hints about their pregnancy in an episode of the reality show, The Great Indian Kapil Show. Host Kapil Sharma shared a personal anecdote about how his own mother skipped straight to “grandkid mode” as soon as his wife entered the house, and advised the newlyweds to plan early.

Raghav said, "We’ll give you good news soon!" Parineeti reacted in surprise. Kapil pushed further, asking, "Is there good news? Are sweets being distributed yet?" to which Raghav replied, "We will give it, at some point."

"One breakfast together and I knew"

Parineeti and Raghav have been one of the most talked-about celebrity couples in India. They got married on September 24, 2023, in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Aside from family and friends, the wedding saw many well-known faces of Bollywood and Indian politics. 

The duo got engaged on May 13, 2023, in New Delhi. They had a simple and beautiful ceremony involving a paath and an after-party with close friends and family. Parineeti captioned the post, "You know when you know. After one breakfast together, I knew I had found the one. The most lovely man, whose quiet strength would be soothing, tranquil, and uplifting. His encouragement, wit, and companionship provide me with much delight. He is my refuge. Our engagement party seemed like a dream, unfolding wonderfully among love, laughter, passion, and plenty of dancing!"

Speculation around Parineeti and Raghav's relationship began in March 2023 when a video of the two exiting a Mumbai cafe went viral on social media. After viewing their photographs together, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora tweeted, "My warmest congrats go out to Raghav Chadha and Parineeti Chopra. May their love, joy, and friendship be richly rewarded in their relationship. Best wishes!"
