Pagglait Teaser: Sanya Malhotra Is A Widow Who Can't Grieve

Pagglait teaser: The teaser of Sanya Malhotra starrer Pagglait was revealed today by Netflix. Directed by Umesh Bisht, this Netflix release sees Malhotra as a wife who cannot grieve, despite having lost her husband recently. The film will premier on OTT, on March 26.

Sharing the trailer of Pagglait on social media, the lead actor of this dark comedy, Sanya Malhotra wrote, "Emotions in this household are either running high or not at all. Pagglait, premieres 26th March, only on Netflix."

What is Pagglait about?

As it appears from the teaser, Pagglait is about a small town widow Sandhya, who has recently lost her husband Astik. While Sandhya was married to Astik for just five months, she behaves as if nothing has happened after his death. We see Sandhya tell another female character that she had cat as a child that died in an accident. She had cried a lot when her pet had died and had not eaten anything for three days. But curiously she doesn't feel any such sorrow after her husband's death. "Rona bhi nahi aa raha, aur bhuk bhi daba ke lag rahi hai."

Speaking about her film, Malhotra said in a statement, "So thrilled to announce this film which is very close to my heart on my special day. I essay the role of Sandhya, a character very different from what I have previously portrayed on-screen. My Pagglait journey was Pagglait indeed- and I can’t wait for the world to witness this unique story very soon.”
