The series brings together a bunch of renowned actors, directors, choreographers, cinematographers and music directors. The project aims at raising funds for all those people associated with the Southern film industry and  trying hard to make both ends meet during the pandemic. The emotions covered are love, fear, wonder, anger, laughter, sorrow, courage, disgust and peace.

The Navarasa trailer had been creating a buzz ever since it dropped last month. Fans had been eagerly waiting for its release. However, the series is receiving mixed reviews from the viewers. While some are thoroughly enjoying the anthology, others are left disheartened.

Navarasa review: How Twitter reacted to the Tamil anthology?

A user said that she believed the series will turn out to become a flop but she would still watch it for her favourite celebrities.

Another user appeared to be mind blown with the unexpected twist that comes at the end of one of the episodes.

A user named Vignesh Kanda said, "#ProjectAgni is a good attempt from @karthicknaren_M. Something different from him truly. The theme is WONDER and it actually worked to major extent. Personally I would have loved a bit more detailing/easily understandable version of the Sci fi concept they have taken." He then continued saying that one can have diverse opinions on the episode.

Expressing his disappointment over the Gautam Vasudev Menon directorial Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru (emotion-love), he said, "Have I lost the sensibility to appreciate #gvm movies or has he just started making mediocre stuff  #navarasa. He was once my childhood hero."

Applauding Project Agni, a viewer said that the director Karthick Naren should considering developing it into a full length film. "Dear @karthicknaren_M...Do Full Fledged Film Of #ProjectAgni from STUNNING EPISODE IT IS," he said.
