What Manushi Chhillar Said About the 30-Year Age Gap with Akshay Kumar?

In a recent interview with Zoom, Manushi addressed the discussions circulating on social media regarding the significant age difference between herself and Kumar. Reflecting on the matter, she remarked, "Working with a superstar is good. You get a certain amount of visibility. If I talk about my first film, there was an age gap. They wanted to play the whole thing."

However, she added that in this film, "there was no pairing." She said, "We did songs for marketing. There had to be a way to put two people together for the songs, but that's pretty much it, which is fine. I don't see it as something that was atrocious or something that shouldn't have been there. It wasn't like a love story anyway."

A brief background on Manushi reveals her journey from being crowned Miss World in 2017 to her roots in Rohtak. Prior to her pageantry endeavours, she was pursuing a medical degree at Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College in Sonipat. Besides her achievements in the entertainment industry, Manushi is also recognised for her proficiency in Kuchipudi dance.

Following her debut in Hindi cinema with Samrat Prithviraj, Manushi's repertoire expanded to include Vijay Krishna Acharya's The Great Indian Family, where she shared the screen with Vicky Kaushal in a social comedy-drama.

In her recent portrayal in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Manushi essayed the role of Captain Misha in Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial venture. Alongside Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, the film featured a stellar cast, including Alaya F, Sonakshi Sinha, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Ronit Roy. Moving forward, Manushi is set to grace the screen once again in Pawan Gopalan's political action-thriller Tehran, where she will be seen alongside John Abraham and Neeru Bajwa in pivotal roles.
