Joss Whedon Allegedly Threatened To Harm Gal Gadot's Career

Joss Whedon Gal Gadot Row: The Director of Justice League Joss Whedon allegedly threatened Gal Gadot's career and make her look stupid, according to reports.

He reportedly threatened Gadot because she did not want to read certain lines that he gave her.

This is not the first time that an allegation has been made against Whedon. Previously many Justice League cast member came ahead and shared their experiences of working with Whedon, back when he took over the DC Universe franchise from Zack Snyder.

One of the Justice League cast even went to the chairman of Warner Bros regarding complaints against Whedon. According to sources, after the revision of the scripts for the film, Gadot had several concerns regarding her character being a lot aggressive than in Wonder Woman. Gadot wanted her character to have a smooth flow from one film to the next.

Sources say, that Whedon pushed Gadot to record certain lines, and when she didn't like them he threatened to harm her career. A witness from the production site said that after a clash, "Josh was ragging that he's had it out with Gal. He told her he's the writer and she's going to shut up and say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie."

Gal Gadot responded to this and released a statement saying that she had her issues with Whedon and Warner Bros and she handled it in a timely manner.

Wonder Woman's director Patty Jenkins reportedly "went to battle" with Whedon, hence there was a discussion with the Warner Bros team.

Previously in December, Gadot also shared her experience about working with Whedon when there were accusations against the director for creating a hostile work environment.

Sharing her experience the actor said in an interview with Variety, that she had her own experience with him which wasn't the best one. Gadot said that she took care of it there when it happened as she took it to the higher-ups and they took care of it.

Gal Gadot will next appear in Wonder Woman 3 directed by Patty Jenkins. Gadot will also appear in Cleopatra which is also directed by Jenkins. The actor has recently finished the shooting of Red Notice, which is an action-adventure film. She will be seen alongside Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson.
