It's that time of the month again and all you feel like doing is cuddle up in your warm fuzzy bed on your PMS days. And there’s nothing more comforting than something that gets your mind away from those painful cramps. Set in 1983 in northern Italy, the film centres around 17-year-old Elio Perlman with his family welcomes a guest, a doctoral student. Oliver working as a research assistant for Elio's father will prepare the ground for an unexpected bond. Call me by your name is based on the acclaimed novel by André Aciman of the same name.
P.S. I Love You
On her 30th birthday, Holly Kennedy receives a series of letters after the death of her husband Gerry, as a guide planned ahead by the latter. When Holly loses the love of her life, she finds it difficult to get through her grief. The letter comes as support for this time and inspires her to rediscover herself.
Me Before You
Based on the romance novel written by Jojo Moyes, the film focuses on a young girl Louisa Clark, who is full of life. While moving from one job to another she ends up as a caregiver for Will Traynor. The latter is a rich young banker left paralyzed from an accident two years ago. Lou who has a contrasting outlook on life than Will and tries to reassure him that life is worth living.
Marley & Me
Aside from the romantic relationships, the film focuses on the selfless relationship we share with our pets. Marley and Me tracks the life of a puppy who grows up with his owner and his family. Despite his mischievous nature, Marley always manages to bring out the best in the family.
Blue Is The Warmest Color
The coming-of-age film from 2013 directed by Abdellatif Kechiche, tells the story of a relationship between two female teenagers and their experiences as they grow up in a modern day France. Adèle rediscovers herself after she meets Emma, a young woman with blue hair.
10 Things I Hate About You
Kat Stratford is a rebellious teen and quite abrasive to most schoolmates. Bianca, her younger sister, is instructed to not date until Kat finds a boyfriend. The former makes it her mission to find her sister a ‘perfect man’. Kat is then set up with the charming Patrick Verona, played by Heath Ledger.
