Bollywood actor Diana Penty is all set to venture into the Malayalam film industry. The actor ,who rose to fame after her debut alongside Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan in Cocktail, is excited to begin her new journey. Penty shared a picture from the sets of the untitled film. She announced the project with the photograph, in which she could be seen posing next to her co-star in the film, Dulquer Salmaan.
"Cheers to new beginnings! Super excited to hitch @dulQuer, #RosshanAndrrews and therefore the whole crew on this new journey - my first Malayalam film! Looking forward to the ride,” the tweet posted by the actor read.
Dulquer Salmaan also took to the microblogging site to welcome his co-actor on board. The Karwaan actor expressed his joy to have the Diana as a part of the upcoming film. “As are we to have you on board !!!” he wrote reacting to the actor’s tweet.
Diana and Dulquer’s new venture went on floors on 3 February in the capital city of Kerala, Trivandrum.
About the film
According to Filmibeat, Salmaan would portray the role of a cop in this upcoming drama film. Although, the details about Diana’s Malayalam debut project is still under the wraps, its title is Salute, says the report. The film will be shot over the period of 75 days at the major locations of Trivandrum, Kollam, Kasargode, and New Delhi.
The Malayalam film, starring Diana Penty and Dulquer Salmaan will be directed by RosshanAndrrews. The film has been scripted by the popular duo Bobby- Sanjay, who previously penned the drama film Uyare starring Parvathy Thiruvothu. Besides starring in the film, Dulquer is bankrolling the film under his banner named Wayfarer Films. It will be the actor’s fifth production venture. Other than the two mentioned stars. Veteran actor Manoj K Jayan will also be seen playing a pivotal role.
