Lives In Secret: Actors Charlotte Gainsbourg and Hugh Bonneville will be starring in the WWII spy thriller Lives In Secret.
Gainsbourg will be portraying Vera Atkins, an intelligence officer who tries to get a clue regarding the dates of her missing agents whom she had deployed at Occupied France.
The thriller will be an adaptation of Sarah Helm’s A Life in Secret. It will tell the story of Vera Atkins, the intelligence officer from Special Operation Executive’s French Section who was involved in training and dispatching many agents to France during the war. She also interrogated Rudolf Hess, the commandant of the Auschwitz concentration camp. She did this in a bid to find out what happened to the agents who never returned home.
For her bravery and achievements, Vera Atkins was conferred with the Légion d’honneur by the French government in 1995.
Shooting For Lives In Secret To Begin This Fall
The shooting of the spy thriller is set to commence in the fall of 2021 which was originally known as Night And Fog.
John Hay who is known for his previous works such as There’ s Only One Jimmy Grimble and Lost Christmas will be directing tue much-awaited spy thriller. Charlotte Gainsbourg is currently shooting for the drama Suzanna Adler, while Hugh Bonneville was last seen in To Olivia, in which he portrayed Roald Dahl, the celebrated British writer.
