His death deeply affected her, and their last conversation was centered around his fears as a gay man, including concerns about ageing, not having a life partner or children, and his desire to see Jaitley happily married. This tragic incident brought about a profound change within Jaitley, highlighting the challenges and stigma faced by the LGBTQIA community.

She shared that she had encountered various challenges while advocating for the community.
