Cardi B's New Single: American rapper Cardi B has released her brand new song 'Up' as promised. This single came after the megahit WAP, featuring Megan Thee Stallion. The 2020 release won her the Billboard‘s Woman Of The Year title. Now, in the follow-up song, she seems prepared to kick-off her new era.

On February 5, at midnight Cardi dropped her latest single and music video. Tanu Muino-directed visual opens with the singer in a cemetery and a tombstone with a carving that reads: RIP 2020. 

Cardi B's New Single Up:

Prior to the release, Cardi expressed during a YouTube live stream that she “wanted to do something more gangsta, more cocky”.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Cardi revealed that she has already recorded "50 songs" and plans to release an album this year.  “If I’m not satisfied, I’m just not satisfied, but I really want to put out an album this year. I feel like I have no choice now. Now, I feel like I exceeded my limit of holding. I just need to stop with the fear,” she said.

Cardi also featured as a guest on 'Bet You Wanna'. It was a collaboration with the South-Korean Kpop icons, Blackpink. 

Also, the hip-hop icon has bagged the lead role in Paramount’s upcoming film titled Assisted Living. Cardi B is to portray the character of a small-time crook Amber. The plot of the movie reportedly revolves around her life. When a heist goes wrong, Amber has to flee from the cops as well as her former group. While she struggles to find a place to hide, she disguises herself as an elderly woman. In this disguise, she finally ends up hiding in her estranged grandmother’s nursing home hoping no one will search there.

This weekend, the rapper will star alongside Wayne’s World actors Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey in an Uber Eats Super Bowl commercial. The ad is a call to support local restaurants amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
