Bling Empire Star Anna Shay Passes Away At 62, Co-Stars Pay Tribute

Reality television star Anna Shay passed away at the age of 62 from a stroke. The Bling Empire fan-favourite was a philanthropist, heiress, and socialite.

Shay is best known for appearing as herself in the reality TV show Bling Empire. The star appeared in all three seasons.

Anna Shay's family shared a statement informing that the reality star had suddenly passed away.

Shay appeared in all three seasons of Bling Empire, the reality TV series which followed a group a wealthy group of Asian and Asian Americans. In a 2021 interview with People, Shay said that while starring in the reality show, she went with the flow and was "just being me".

Anna Shay Passes Away

Anna Shay was a socialite whose fortune came from selling her father's company.

Shay's co-stars and friends took to social media to pay tribute to the late socialite.

Real estate developer and investor Kane Lim paid tribute to Shay and said he was lucky to get to know "the real you". Lim added that her nonchalance was "mesmerising" and said he would always remember Shay for her resilience and tenacity for life.

Lim signed off by saying, "You slay. Continue to slay in the heavens."

Fashion influencer and model Jaime Xie said Shay would be dearly missed. She added that the memories she had with Shay would stay "forever in my heart".

Dorothy Wang paid tribute to Shay and said that her legacy of generosity and fervour for life would continue to be celebrated.

Shay's co-star Mimi Morris said that the Bling Empire had lost an amazing friend.

Former model and DJ Kim Lee paid tribute to the late star in a statement sent to Deadline. She described the sudden passing as a huge shock and spoke about her relationship with Shay.

Lee said that while they had issues on the show, the two shared a great bond outside the show. She added that there is nobody like Shay and called her an "incredible and unique" person.
