Anushka Sharma Shares Teaser Of Upcoming Web Series Paatal Lok

The first look of the series Paatal Lok made me quite delirious. The teaser is devilish and it gave me goosebumps. It looks like a story about the evils which are engulfing the society. Actor Anushka Sharma, who is the producer, shared the title announcement video recently.

About the series

The upcoming web series is made by Sudip Sharma and marks the digital debut of Anushka Sharma as a producer. The teaser shows a dark, fiery world. The series throws light on the world where justice is found only by shedding blood and it's a harsh reality.

“Filled with mystique, thrill and drama, Amazon Prime Video’s latest Original explores the dark bylanes of immorality. Inspired by the ancient realms of Swargalok (heaven), Dharti Lok (earth), and Patal Lok (netherworld), the neo-noir series delves into the interplay within the four estates of democracy,” is the what the official synopsis of the show read.

The Cast

The project is said to be cop-based crime drama and although produced by Anushka Sharma's banner Clean Slate Films she will not act in this series, created by NH10 writer Sudip Sharma. The actress has produced films like NH10, Phillauri and Pari. Actors Neeraj Kabi, Gul Panag and Jaideep Ahlawat are in the lead roles. The teaser doesn't reveal about the plot of the story but gives us an idea about the roles of the character. In the teaser, Jaideep Ahlawat is seen as a policeman while Neeraj Kabi seems to be playing the role of a politician.

Anushka went on Twitter and wrote "#PataalLok ke niyam alag hai, #NewSeriesOnPrime, May 15", to make her fans excited and curious about her upcoming production. Fans seem impressed with the first look at the show and commented on various social media platform about the teaser. The series will definitely garner the love of the people who like crime thrillers, we think.

The series will be streaming from May 15, 2020.
