Kapoor shared a couple of photos of herself in a black off-shoulder dress. Posting the photos, she revealed that these images have been in her drafts for weeks, and she doesn’t know what gave her the courage tonight to post them rather than delete the draft. She explained that she has spent more than half of her life unable to see any kind of beauty in herself.

Anshula Kapoor spoke about how there were many physical attributes that she criticised, from the curls that she thought of as "unmanageable" to her shoulders which were covered in stretch marks.

Kapoor admitted that she failed to be kind to herself and wondered why after learning to never judge a book by its cover, people fail to do it about their own bodies. She added that we always judge what we see outside without even looking at how bright the inside is. She said that she failed to understand that she could show the same grace to herself that she was showing others and that she could love herself regardless of her looks.

Kapoor expressed how she failed to realise that her hair was beautifully wild and unique and her skin has grown and stretched through the different phases of her life. "I never saw the lips that could speak words of love and courage," wrote the 32-year-old on her post."

Kapoor concluded the post by questioning why it is always easier to see the negatives instead of the positives and when we would change that. She said that she liked this side of her because it allows her to celebrate every part of herself that would probably never be conventional but makes her unique.
