This time it seems more promising with Akshaye Khanna's entry. Drishyam 2 trailer is released today, in which Meera (Tabu) is still looking for her missing son Sam. Only this time another police officer(Akshaye Khanna) will accompany her.
The Drishyam 2 &t=2s">trailer depicts, Drishyam 2 plot is set seven years after the first set of investigations in 2022. This time investigations will be more intense. In one of the dialogues, the protagonist expresses truth can never stay hidden, it also highlights the turmoil of being harrassed for seven years. The trailer shows Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) and his family despite being proven not guilty, Meera is on a quest to find the truth. Meera accepts that she underestimated Vijay and claims Vijay underestimated her mother, which will uncover the truth.
To sum up, Drishyam 2 looks darker, with Vijay and his family caught between all of this. The trailer also shows the story of October 2, and 3, and a lot will revolve around it. In the end, Vijay is on camera giving his confession at the police station. The performances in the trailer looks promising too, how film will turn up, audience will get to know once it releases.

Drishyam 2 is all set to release on November 18. It will include the entire star cast from the Drishyam- Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, and Rajat Kapoor. The newest addition is Akshaye Khanna. It will be released under the banner of Viacom18 Studios, Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Panorama Studios. The film is Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kuma. It is co-produced by Sanjeev Joshi, Aditya Chowksey, and Shiv Chanana.
Both parts Drishyam and Drishyam 2 are directed by Abhishek Pathak. In the first part, Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) and his family managed to put the case of the missing Sam Deshmukh behind them. The sequel brings back the re-opening of the case.
