Actor Nikita Rawal Robbed Of Lakhs At Gunpoint In Delhi: Report

Activist and Bollywood actor Nikita Rawal was allegedly robbed at gunpoint in the national capital where she was staying with an aunt, a media report claimed Tuesday. The incident reportedly occurred at Shastri Nagar near central Delhi, with Rawal saying she was home alone at the time.

People covered in masks allegedly held her hostage and made off with seven lakh rupees, according to PinkvillaThe 31-year-old hid herself inside a wardrobe and is deeming it the “most traumatic incident of her life.”

“I still can’t get out of this trauma and can’t believe that I’m alive, I would have died if I didn’t fight it,” Rawal was quoted saying. The actor has shared the media report on the alleged robbery on her social media accounts.

Based in Mumbai, Rawal is best known for her appearances in the 2007 film Mr. Hot Mr. Kool and 2009 film The Hero – Abhimanyu. She is reported to be a part of the lead cast for an upcoming Arshad Warsi starrer film titled Roti Kapda aur Romance. 

On her role in the film, Rawal in an interview said she feels it will be the “turning point” in her career.

In 2019, she starred in a song video, backed by Innocent Virus Films, themed around drug usage. Rawal has credits to her name in Tollywood as well and is an accomplished dancer.

She takes a keen interest in activism and runs an NGO named Aastha Foundation. In an interview three years ago she elaborated on the vision of her venture and how it tackles issues of poverty, gender discrimination and health. She reportedly contributed to social causes during the COVID-19 pandemic last year.
