Netizens React To Woman Adding Sex Work In LinkedIn Profile

Some people congratulated Egozi for finding a job that she found empowering and paid her well. One user commented, “In my experience, people who disrespect sex work and sex workers do so to aggrandize themselves… Your comfort in your own skin threatens their worldview and calls into question their beliefs about what they ‘deserve’ and why”.

Another user commented on their experience with hiring someone who previously worked at an adult entertainment company as a content manager. The person had lied on their resume and named another company as their employer because they were embarrassed about it. The user thanked Egozi for breaking the stigma surrounding sex work and adding it to her public resume.

Meanwhile, some users offered up criticism and one person commented, "What I’m missing in the comments is peoples discussion regarding sense of morality and the dignity of women. Nor are there comments refering to appropriatness of advertising and marketing what is obstensively prostitution on Linkedin." The user further added that he had no personal issue with someone taking on sex work roles, as it was a personal choice, "however, like other ‘professions’ and peoples ‘rights’ of detrrmination. there have to be boundaries and guidelines that are acceptable to the majority of a business and society."
