The new mystery series Echoes boasts a cast of well-known stars as well as bright newbies. Gina and Leni McCleary, the main characters in Echoes, are played by actor Michelle Monaghan, who has also worked in notable shows like Sleepless and True Detective. In the Mission: Impossible films, Monaghan plays Ethan Hunt's wife, a role for which she is well known. She also appeared previously in films like The Bourne Supremacy and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Monaghan most recently appeared in the OTT thriller series Messiah.

In the first season of the anthology crime drama series True Detective (2014) Monaghan played Maggie Hart. for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category.
