Selena Gomez's Latest Song 'Single Soon' Celebrates Singlehood

American pop sensation and actor Selena Gomez has released a new song around singlehood. The song, 'Single Soon,' is an electric dance number celebrating the carefree and beautiful feeling of being single.

After keeping her fans in suspense for weeks, Gomez has finally released her new song, Single Soon. Gomez took to her Instagram handle recently to confirm the release of her new album was in the works and announced the song's release date.

The video shows Gomez leaving a message to her boyfriend, conveying that she is breaking up with him and stepping out of the house to party with the girls. She picks a shimmery dress and glittery shoes for the girls’ night out, as she can "do whatever she wants."

Dropping a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the making of Single Soon, Gomez wrote, "Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not entirely done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer. SINGLE SOON. August 25th. Preserve it now."

Gomez is reportedly working on her new album, which will be her fourth and the follow-up to 2020’s Rare. The popstar-actor hasn’t released any albums since 2020, although she did drop her all-Spanish EP Revelación in 2021.

According to Billboard, Gomez has also made guest appearances on a bunch of sporadic singles since her last full album, including Rema’s 2022 smash Calm Down. Gomez also released a standalone track, My Mind & Me, supporting her documentary of the same name in 2022.

The release of the new song comes after Gomez’s announcement of the Rare Beauty Impact Fund last week. She is currently seen on the third season of Only Murders in the Building alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short. The third instalment also features Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd.
