Indian Premiere League (IPL) is a cricket tournament that is nothing less than a sports celebration in our country. This year's IPL season commenced on March 22, glueing us all to the screens for the teams we have been supporting almost since 2008 when the tournament first started in India. These IPL fandoms get more intense when it comes to Royal Challengers Banglore fans often referred to as 'the most loyal fans' as they have been in stands for the team for 17 trophy-less seasons.

Woman Ditches Work For IPL Match, Boss Spots Her On TV

One such diehard RCB fan, Neha Dwivedi, who goes by the Instagram handle @mishraji_ki_bitiya almost put her job at stake for her love and passion for cricket. The Bangalore woman was excited to know her favourite team would be playing in her city and wanted to spectate them playing live anyhow.

To watch the match, Dwivedi had to make ends meet and balance her work. Dwivedi was compelled to log out of her work sooner than usual due to a 'family emergency' (fake excuse) to go and catch the live cricket match between RCB and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the stadium. However, all her excuses went awry when her boss spotted her amidst the crowd during the live telecast!

Dwivedi took to Instagram to share her experience. In a video post, she revealed how her boss recognized her in the stadium audience, despite just a fleeting glimpse on TV, as she captioned the reel as "Moye Moye getting real day by day." In the video Dwivedi shared her boss lightly confronted her as he jokingly texted her the next day "S,o that was the reason for the early logout yesterday." Dwivedi, in the video, confirmed her allegiance to RCB, prompting her boss to playfully tease her about her "worried expression" during the match, hinting that he'd noticed her on TV.

The lighthearted exchange between the employee and employer has sparked amusement online as it highlights the lengths fans go to for the IPL, it also highlights an understanding and forgiving work culture that enables employees to take a few mishaps light-heartedly.
