What makes Women So Emotionally Attached To Their Feline Pets?

A woman in China recently made headlines after she named her pets as her inheritors. She is leaving a fortune of $2.8 million for her pets rather than her children. As per reports, the Shanghai woman named Liu has named her pets as her inheritors because she is angry that her children never visited her, not even when she was sick.

She claims that her kids didn't even try to contact her. A few years ago, she had written her will and transferred her fortune in the name of her children. But recently, she changed it and wants her money and property to be used to take care of her pets and their babies. She claims that the pets were with her even when she was sick.

However, the law doesn't allow Liu to directly name her cats and dogs as her inheritors. So, a local veterinary clinic has been appointed as the administrator of the inheritance

Will She Change Her Will?

Chen Kai, an official from China’s Will Registration Centre headquarters in Beijing said, "Liu’s current will is one way, and we would have advised her to appoint a person she trusts to supervise the vet clinic to ensure the pets are properly cared for."

Another official said that Liu can still change her mind and will if she reconciles her differences with her children.  "We told Auntie Liu that if her children change their attitude towards her, she could always alter her will again"

Aunt Liu made a different choice. She sets an example for all the parents around that they are not dependent on their kids for care and support. What do you think about her choice? Was it valid?
