Popular YouTube group Try Guys fired its member Ned Fulmer after he admitted to cheating on his wife, Ariel Fulmer. In a statement published on their official Twitter account, The Try Guys confirmed that Fulmer will 'no longer' be working with them.
The decision was made after a 'thorough internal review' adding that they 'do not see a path forward' with the former member of their group.
“We thank you for your support as we navigate this change,” concluded the statement from remaining members Keith Habersberger, Zach Kornfeld and Eugene Lee Yang.
What is Try Guys?
Fulmer, along with Yang, Kornfeld, and Habersberger, created the Try Guys while working as BuzzFeed video producers in 2014, before moving on to establish their own channel in 2019. The videos followed the group as try new things in each episode. They also recreate iconic meals in restaurants around the country for the culinary show, No Recipe Road Trip With The Try Guys.
Recent rumours on Reddit, which have now been confirmed, alleged that Fulmer cheated on his long-term partner and wife, Ariel Fulmer. Not long after Fulmer stopped appearing in The Try Guys content, they announced a temporary switch to a frequency of one new video a week, until the end of October. But things escalated after videos and photos were leaked on Reddit, showing Fulmer and Try Guys producer Alexandria Herring making out at a New York club. As a result, The Try Guys have decided to sever ties with Fulmer.
Meanwhile, Ned Fulmer admitted to “a consensual workplace relationship” with a colleague after the said photos were leaked on Reddit.
Who Is Ariel Fulmer?
Fulmer married Ariel in 2012, and they have two children, Wesley James and Finley. Ariel not only works as an interior designer and stylist, but also has a cookbook and conducts podcasts, according to her Instagram account. She also founded Fig + Stone Designs, which provides "expertise in antique décor, textiles, furniture, and art," as well as bespoke prop rental and house styling and design.
Ariel opened up on the controversy and shared a statement of her own on her Instagram, “Thanks to everyone who has reached out to me – it means a lot. Nothing is more important to me and Ned than our family, and all we request right now is that you respect our privacy for the sake of our kids,” she wrote.
