Uorfi Javed is well-known for her distinct fashion sense. With the prices of tomatoes skyrocketing, she decided to put her unique twist on the story.

Uorfi Javed reacted to the increasing prices of tomatoes in her unique style, using them as accessories and referring to them as 'New Gold.' 

Javed a television personality who has also been a contestant on the reality show Big Boss, is famous for her unique fashion sense. She never fails to surprise us with her sense of style, one outfit at a time. In her recent post on Instagram, the influencer can be seen making yet another unexpected fashion statement.

Uorfi Javed Wears Tomatoes

Javed can be seen wearing earrings made of tomatoes in her most recent image posted on the picture-sharing platform. She is dressed in a black dress, wearing large tomato earrings and holding one tomato in her palm, ready to have a bite. She captioned it saying, “Tomatoes are the new gold”.

To be honest, given their cost, they are comparable to gold. Along with her post, she shared two more images. One of which featured Sunil Shetty with his quote ‘Eating fewer tomatoes these days due to rising prices’.  

In a recent interview with Aaj Tak, Shetty revealed that the increasing prices of the fruit have affected his kitchen, and he has reduced its consumption. He also added that he orders vegetables through an app because they are cheaper there compared to the shops. Another image uploaded showed a Maharashtrian farmer who made a million in a month by selling tomatoes.

Javed's style statement has always sparked controversies for her. While some netizens have trolled her for wearing unusual outfits, some have applauded her for unapologetically wearing what she chooses.

From dresses made out of watches, yellow flowers, chains, pins, and jeans as tops, Javed keeps experimenting with her fashion sense. In an interview with Zoom, Kareena Kapoor Khan commended Javed for her courage and confidence in pulling off her style. She also said she does not have the guts and is not brave enough to wear dresses like Javed does, and finds it cool on her.
