Aamir Khan and film producer Reena Dutta's daughter Ira Khan on Wednesday tied the knot with her long-time partner Nupur Shikhare. Ira, who is the founder and CEO of a mental health support organisation, registered her marriage with Nupur, a celebrity fitness trainer, at a five-star hotel in suburban Bandra.
However, it was the groom's entry to the venue that left everyone stunned. Once again breaking the traditional conventions, Nupur Shikhare took his baraat not on horseback but on his running shoes! Shikhare jogged from Mumbai's Santacruz to the wedding venue of the Taj Lands End Hotel in Bandra.
Several videos of the unconventional baraat of the fitness trainer accompanied by his boys' squad surfaced on the internet. They jogged for almost 8 km while the rest of the guests awaited the groom and his squad at the doors of the hotel. The video ends with Shikhare and others joining the family and dancing at the gates of the venue as part of the rituals.

In the videos and photos by paparazzi surfaced on the internet Shikhare is seen grooving on dhol with his mother. In another video, his friends can be seen lifting him even after an arduous jog of 8 km.
Reportedly, a grand wedding ceremony is planned in Udaipur on January 8, and the bride and groom's families will leave for the destination soon after finishing up the wedding rituals in the Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai.
As per the reports, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare started dating during the lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic when Shikhare was training Ira's father Aamir Khan. The couple officially confirmed their relationship in February 2021 and was engaged in November 2022.
