Film producer Boney Kapoor recently shared a heartfelt post featuring the iconic actor Sridevi. In the post, the 67-year-old offered a glimpse into his family photo wall, showcasing several frames capturing precious moments with Sridevi.
These pictures, as Boney Kapoor revealed in the caption, were taken while Sridevi was pregnant with their daughter, Janhvi Kapoor. The images were created with the magical touch of renowned photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha, who was known for his exceptional work in the field of photography.

A week earlier, Boney Kapoor had denied the reports that suggested Janhvi Kapoor was born out of wedlock. During an interview with YouTuber Rohan Dua, Kapoor shared that he and Sridevi had tied the knot in Shirdi in 1996. He clarified that he publicly announced their second marriage in January, which coincided with Sridevi's visibly advancing pregnancy. Kapoor emphatically refuted any rumours suggesting that their daughter, Janhvi Kapoor, was born before their marriage to Sridevi.
Boney Kapoor Opens Up About Sridevi's Death
In the same interview, Kapoor opened up for the first time about the passing of Sridevi, who tragically passed away in Dubai in February 2018. The actor's body was discovered in a hotel bathtub, and her death was attributed to accidental drowning. This shocking incident left her fans bewildered, leading to various conspiracy theories. Despite the speculation, her family chose to maintain a dignified silence.
Breaking his silence for the first time, Boney Kapoor had shared insights into Sridevi's untimely demise. He also shed light on the pressure she faced to maintain her on-screen appearance. In an interview with New Indian, Boney Kapoor discussed Sridevi's tragic death.
The producer revealed that the actor was on a crash diet. He said that she “often used to starve”, as she “wanted to look good”. He added that the actor always wanted to make sure she was in good shape so that, on screen, she looked good. Further, he said that from the time Sridevi was married to him, she had “blackouts” on a couple of occasions, and the doctor kept on saying she had a “low BP issue”.
Recalling how he was questioned for 48 hours, he revealed that it was not a natural death; it was an accidental death. He said that he had decided not to speak about it because he had spoken about it for almost 24 or 48 hours together when he was being investigated and interrogated. In fact, the officers said we had to go through this because there was a lot of pressure from the Indian media. "And they discovered there was no foul play," he said.
He added, “I went through all the tests, including lie detector tests and all those things. And then, of course, the report which came clearly stated it was accidental.”
Boney Kapoor went on to reveal that actor Nagarjuna had paid a visit to their home to express his condolences. During this visit, he shared an unfortunate incident from the past, mentioning that Sridevi had fainted previously while on a crash diet during one of her film shoots. Kapoor recounted Nagarjuna's words, stating that this incident had led to Sridevi falling in the bathroom and breaking her teeth.
