Thai Woman Suffering From Stuffy Nose Finds Maggots Inside Nostrils

A woman from Thailand was in for a shocker when she went to get her stuffy nose checked. The doctors told her that she had hundreds of maggots breeding inside her nostrils which, left untreated, could have caused serious harm to the eyes or brain. The 59-year-old woman underwent surgery at Nakornping Hospital in Thailand's Chiang Mai Province. The hospital officials posted about the ordeal on their Facebook page. According to local reports, the patient's condition drastically improved after the maggots were removed. 

What Happened

A hospital in Thailand posted to Facebook that a woman, whose name has not been disclosed, had been dealing with a blocked nose and facial pain for over a week. At first, she didn't think much of it, assuming it was a reaction to dust. However, when she started suffering a nosebleed, she spotted dozens of tiny insects coming out of her nostrils. 

The woman immediately rushed to the hospital, where Dr Pateemon Thanachaikhan studied her x-ray and endoscope and noticed hundreds of maggots in her nostrils. Reportedly, the organisms could have caused severe damage to her eyes or brain or even death, had she gone untreated. The woman is doing significantly better after the removal, reports said.

Reportedly, Lucy Wilde heard a 'crackling' sound and had pulled out a spider from her ear just weeks ago. She assumed that the ordeal was dealt with.

However, when the problem persisted, the 29-year-old used an earbud camera to detect the issue and made a scathing discovery inside her ear. Speaking to the Mirror, Wild said, "It was like something out of Stranger Things!", expressing that the matter felt like it was straight out of a fantasy movie.

Wild then had to undergo a painful suction procedure to flush out all the gunk from her ear. "I actually vomited while he was doing the procedure it was that painful... It was the most excruciating pain I've ever felt... I'd rather go through childbirth or a C-section again," the mother-of-three claimed.
