Two Indian women entrepreneurs to be part of Israel's largest Start-Up Event

Mausumi Acharyya of Advenio and Komal Talwar of XPLAT Labs will be in Tel Aviv to take part in the largest gathering of start-ups, techies, VC's and investors.

Two Indian women entrepreneurs are going to be travelling soon to Israel to be part of the "Start Tel Aviv" event, a gathering of some of the most innovative start-ups, techies, Venture Capitalists and investors from all over the world. Mausumi Acharyya of Advenio and Komal Talwar of XPLAT Labs  were selected from entries from all over India at the “Start Tel Aviv – India Finals” which was organised by the Embassy of Israel in partnership with TIE Delhi-NCR to find two Indian women founded start-ups who would be part of Israel's largest hi-tech gathering, together with 22 other start-up companies from around the world.

Israel's Ambassador to India, Mr. Daniel Carmon who awarded the winners stressed the important role that women can and should play in all sectors and noted that his own political team at the embassy is comprised of women. "I take pride in working with these 'diplomatic entrepreneurs' as my very professional and creative partners".

Start Tel Aviv is a global event held by The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tel Aviv Municipality to bring together start-ups from different countries to take part in an intense, five-day start-up workshops in the heart of Tel Aviv.

Ms. Ditza Froim, Minister Counsellor, Public Diplomacy at the Embassy of Israel said, "this is the first time the competition is focusing on women. We want to bring the female entrepreneurs to the front of the stage to take their rightful place in the start-up world."

Start Tel Aviv is a global event held by The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tel Aviv Municipality to bring together start-ups from different countries to take part in an intense, five-day start-up workshops in the heart of Tel Aviv.. Thousands of interactions are expected to take place in order to create opportunities for up and coming start-ups and entrepreneurs from around the world in the field of technology.
