After stunning the world with her performance as the badass Alex Parrish in American TV series Quantico, Bollywood’s Priyanka Chopra is set to be honoured at the Toronto Film Festival this year, according to a report in The Hollywood Reporter.
The 35-year-old actor, who was recently seen in her first Hollywood project 'Baywatch', will be the guest of honour at the fundraiser at this prestigious event’s annual TIFF Soirée on September 6, a day before the 42nd annual event kicks off (Sept 7).
The Indian actress, who is a global icon now, has been the talk of the town, gracing almost every red carpet.

The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and founder of the Priyanka Chopra Foundation for Health and Education will also be honoured for her activism.
“A longtime staple of international screens, Priyanka Chopra is not only celebrated for playing strong and nuanced female characters that have their own agency, she is also committed to creating equal opportunities for women so they can reach their full potential,” Maxine Bailey, TIFF’s vice-president of advancement, said in a news release.
At the event, she will discuss about her career as a Bollywood icon before making into Hollywood. The Bollywood star had brought films like Mary Kom in 2014 and What's Your Raashee? in 2009, to the Toronto festival. She had also been a part of a short films jury for a TIFF competition last year.
